March Guest Speaker

Michael Novakovich, president of Visit Tri-Cities, joined us for our March membership meeting to discuss the importance of tourism in our local economy and showcase the various events that our area has to offer. Visit Tri-Cities is dedicated to making the Tri-cities a promoting tourism to create a diverse economy for the region. In 2018, visitors spent $562.2 million in Benton and Franklin Counties. • First Young Professional to bring in a new member wins a Costco size bag of Peanut Butter M&Ms!


Projects

Completed

• McCurley Car Move Fundraiser: Members of Kennewick and Young Professionals helped raised money for our club by moving cars back to the dealership after the Columbia Park Event

Current

• SOS: Save Old Spectacles is a drive to collect used glasses that will be refurbished and given to those who cannot afford to visit the eye doctor. A donation box is available at every Membership Meeting.

• Eastgate Elementary: We have recently partnered with Eastgate Elementary to participate with several of their programs including Bite to Go, Mentoring, and Lunch Buddies.

• The Big Build: This is an opportunity to help the Bite2Go program and second harvest in building food kits for local children in need.

• DVSBF: This spring we plan to partner with DVSBF again to refurbish the fence at their local shelter.

• Best in Show: This is a dog show fundraising event we are currently planning. Funds raised from this event will be given to the project or organization of our choice.
