Kurt Beiswenger with the 2ndHarvest Bite2Go program joined us for our first online monthly membership meeting! The purpose of the Bite2Go is to provide weekend food supplies to children in need during the school year. As a club, we look forward to being able to support the Bite2Go program in the future. Projects
Current
• School Supply Fundraiser: We are currently raising funds to purchase school supplies for our adopted school, Eastgate Elementary. To donate, visit: gofundme.com
• SOS: Save Old Spectacles is a drive to collect used glasses that will be refurbished and given to those who cannot afford to visit the eye doctor. A donation box is available at every Membership Meeting.
• Eastgate Elementary: Last Spring, we adopted Eastgate Elementary to coordinate volunteer and fundraising opportunities. We are reimagining opportunities to benefit the school. Currently, we are fundraising for school supplies. Looking ahead to the Fall, we plan to participate in a virtual mentoring, a penpal program and raise funds for their Bite2Go program.
• DVSBF: We plan to partner with DVSBF again to refurbish the fence at their local shelter. Date is to be determined.
